La Graciosa, Canary Islands, Spain
"Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all." - Helen Keller
This past month I had the incredible opportunity to work internationally again, capturing some amazing stories in the Canary Islands. It was a completely last minute endeavor, and a trip that had a monumental impact on my life.
Flying into Lanzarote, I had no idea what to expect. I knew Graciosa was a supposed mixture of fishing and tourism, an island with a population of 200, and part of the Canary Island chain. After a little research, I found these islands on a map, off the coast of Morocco. The ferry ride to Graciosa was choppy, adding to the sense of unknown and adventure. But once on the island, it became clear that this was a wondrous opportunity. No paved streets, vintage Landrover cruisers as the main form of transportation, abundant stucco buildings, and a fair share of random sandstorms.
Instead of writing out everything about that week, I hope the images will take the role of telling this story. It was an absolute blast meeting and working with Logan & Bonita, Eduardo & Miriam, and Hector & Laura.
