Warren & Katie Engagement Session
Life has an annoying habit of getting busy, so when my old friends Warren & Katie asked me to do their engagement photos, I was ecstatic! We immediately planned on visiting their fixer upper home they were closing on in Guthrie for a different kind of in-home sessions. Of course, we had to stop by Hoboken Coffee for a pick me up, and then we proceeded to Oklahoma City to catch an amazing sunset over the skyline!
These two are so full of joy and are exhibit so much love towards each other. Hearing their story since we last saw each other, it was amazing how time and time again they came in for each other to support, encourage, and help. Katie spends almost every summer since I met her going to Central Africa. On a recent trip, she picked up a bad bug. She kept bragging on Warren on how incredible he was helping her through that tough time and willing to do whatever he could to help her out.
In Oklahoma City, we visited First National Bank: a high rise undergoing renovation in the Financial District. They snuck in when they first started hanging out, and shared so many stories about getting locked in, climbing down sketchy fire-escapes, and finding cool pieces of history in it. We walked around looking for any small chance we could get back in, but no luck. Still, we were able to use the art deco building as an incredible background. I loved that they picked this spot, as that building held such a big piece of their story. Getting to photograph them with it was such an honor and made my job as a storyteller that much easier!
Here's some photos from our day, hope you enjoy them!
