Ian & Jessica Scully
Driving up to Stillwater to capture this wedding was full of emotion. One of my favorite things about Oklahoma is big open blue skies, slightly hot but not unbearable spring weather, with a slight breeze to cool it off. This is rare for Oklahoma, which usually has blasting wind, brutal heat, or random cold fronts; but when it happens it's pure gold. Today was going to be one of those days.
Arriving I got to meet the families of Jessica and Ian. Everyone was putting those final touches on the beautiful day, from setting up the cake to putting out the yard games for the guests. The outdoor gazebo stood perfectly against the greenest soft grass and trees that lined the back.
When it was time for the wedding, the small intimate ceremony was so much fun to capture. From the fun spins on their exit song to the way Jessica and Ian kept looking at each other, the joy was contagious.
After the reception, I stole these two away for their portraits. It was one of my favorite session in all honesty! My favorite photo ended up being them in front of their venue, looking directly at me. Their smirks and warm eyes expressed this incredible welcome into their story which made me stop every time I looked at it while editing. It's so amazing to be invited into people's lives as a photographer, I'm so grateful to be a part of Jessica and Ian's!
