Laura & Tyler Elliot

Sitting down with Tyler & Laura at Classen Coffee Co for our first consultation, I knew this was going to be a fun story to capture. From the way they described their wedding day plans to the questions they’d ask, these two had their priorities straight. It’s not often that large weddings are relaxed and intimate, but that’s exactly how the day turned out! From start to finish it was a celebration, a reunion of friends, and a time for Laura and Tyler to enjoy this exciting new chapter. All their hard work planning came together seamlessly.

On top of all of that, these two were super creative! The ceremony was held in a family’s backyard and the reception was at Plenty Mercantile Downtown. With time in between for their portraits, it was their suggestion to go to Powerhouse OKC in the Farmer’s Market District. It was a shoot I’ve always wanted to incorporate into a wedding and the feeling came out perfect through the photos!

They were also completely game to get dressed back up a few weeks later and we drove 2.5 hours up towards Jet, OK for the Salt Plains. The horizon of big blue skies and white gypsum fields made for a dramatic modern look which was so much fun to photograph!
This will always be one of my favorite weddings, from their easy going attitude to creativity and willingness to try something new!
